Spring Grilling: Get Your Barbecue Back on the Road!

Tips and Tricks for Barbecue Grills

The sun is starting to peek out, and the warmer weather is inviting you back onto the terrace. Barbecue meals are back! Follow our tips and tricks to get your BBQ up and running again in the best possible conditions.

Spring is the perfect time to bring out your barbecue grill and enjoy delicious grilling outdoors. However, before lighting it, it's essential to make sure your BBQ is ready for safe use. Dusting, cleaning, maintenance, preheating... Here are a few tips to get your barbecue grill going again and ensure tasty meals all summer long.

1/ Clean your barbecue grill thoroughly

Before lighting your barbecue grill, start by giving it a deep clean. Remove any food residue and grease that has built up inside the basin and on the grates. Use a wire brush and a suitable degreaser to remove stubborn dirt. Regularly cleaning and maintaining your Grate and tools means cooking and serving sweet and savory recipes in the best possible hygiene conditions, both for taste and for the health of your guests.

My Barbecue's handy tip:

To clean the Grate, you can use old-fashioned tricks such as onion, lemon, newspaper, black soap, or even a pressure washer.

2/ Check the accessories

Make sure all your barbecue grill accessories are in good working order. Among others, we offer an electric rotisserie, a built-in Grill, a serving utensil Cover...

Check the condition of the grates, the grease collection tray, and the tools... Replace any damaged parts if necessary to ensure safe and optimal use of your barbecue grill.

3/ Check the fuel level

Before lighting your barbecue grill, check the amount of fuel left in your bag of charcoal. Make sure you have enough for your next grilling sessions, and stock up if needed. Also be sure to store your charcoal in a safe place, away from heat and moisture, at the back of your garage, in a closed shed, in your workshop, always on a shelf.

4/ First spring cook: preheat properly

To ensure even cooking and prevent food from sticking to the grates, it's essential to preheat your barbecue grill properly, especially for this first spring cook. Light it in advance and let it heat up for a few minutes before placing your food on it. This step will help you reach the ideal temperature for perfectly cooked grilling.
